The formation of neuromyelitis optica ((NMO)-IgG autoantibodies against the cell membrane water channel protein aquaporin 4 (AQP4) underlies the pathogenesis of the disease. The article describes the clinical presentation of the disease in pediatric patients followed up by the authors. It presents the criteria for diagnosing NMOSDs and their therapy regimens.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Расстройства из спектра оптиконевромиелита (ОНМ – neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorders, NMOSD) – воспалительное демиелинизирующее заболевание ЦНС с избирательным поражением зрительных нервов и спинного мозга. В основе патогенеза заболевания лежит образование аутоантител NMO-IgG к белку водопроводящих каналов клеточных мембран аквапорину 4 (AQP4). В статье описана клиническая картина заболевания у пациентов детского возраста, находившихся под наблюдением авторов.
