The paper considers the psychological factors that influence the course of vertebral and spinal cord injury (VSCI). The factors contributing to psychological growth include psychological stability, an internal locus of control, hope and optimism, low-grade depression, social involvement, good family relationships, and behavioral and cognitive coping. The formation of the optimal psychological trajectory in patients with VSCI assumes that a psychotherapist diagnosing and correcting this condition should participate fully in the rehabilitation process.

Рассмотрены психологические факторы, влияющие на течение позвоночно-спинномозговой травмы (ПСМТ). Среди факторов, способствующих психологическому росту, оказались: психологическая устойчивость, внутренний локус контроля, надежда и оптимизм, низкий уровень депрессии, социальная включенность, хорошие семейные отношения, поведенческий и когнитивный типы копинга. Формирование оптимальной психологической траектории пациентов с ПСМТ предполагает полноценное участие в реабилитационном процессе психотерапевта, диагностирующего и корректирующего направление этого движения.
