It reflects the specificity of immune surveillance in the structures of the nervous system. The structural characteristics and varieties of S100 protein are shown. The role of S100 calcium-binding proteins as mediators of an inflammatory response and their participation in the mechanisms of pain syndrome are reflected.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В обзоре представлены клинические и экспериментальные данные о взаимодействии нервной и иммунной систем в рамках различных системных и воспалительных процессов. Отражена специфика иммунного надзора в структурах нервной системы. Показаны структурные особенности и разновидности белка S100.
