Many investigations have shown lower bone mineral density and a higher risk for osteopenia and osteoporosis in patients taking traditional and novel AEDs. Multidrug therapy and the duration of AED intake are associated with the most significant risk for lower bone mineral density. Nevertheless, the molecular mechanisms of action of different AEDs on bone tissue remain little studied.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Противоэпилептические препараты (ПЭП) могут оказывать неблагоприятное влияние на костную ткань, повышая риск развития переломов у пациентов с эпилепсией по сравнению с общей популяцией. Во многих исследованиях показано снижение минеральной плотности костной ткани, увеличение риска развития остеопении и остеопороза у пациентов, получающих традиционные и новые ПЭП. Политерапия и длительность приема ПЭП связаны с наиболее значительным риском снижения минеральной плотности костной ткани.
