The most negative in terms of prognosis is autonomic diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN).</p><sec><title>Objective</title><p>Objective: to study the effectiveness of the drug ipidacrine (Ipigrix) in patients with DPN.</p></sec><sec><title>Patients and methods</title><p>Patients and methods. 49 patients with DPN were observed, they were divided into three groups. Patients of the 1st group (n=16) received ipidacrine 20 mg orally 3 times a day for 60 days, patients of the 2nd group (n=17) received ipidacrine 15 mg 1 time per day intramuscularly for 15 days, then – 20 mg 3 times a day orally up to 2 months; patients of the 3rd group (n=16) received only basic therapy. The clinical condition, severity of pain syndrome according to the Neurological Symptoms Score (NSS), vegetative tests, and treatment tolerance were assessed.</p></sec><sec><title>Results and discussion</title><p>Results and discussion. The therapy was effective in terms of reducing the severity of neuropathic pain syndrome, as well as normalizing the results of vegetative tests. In patients of the 1st group, the total scores on the NSS scale decreased by 37% (p&lt;0.05) by the 60th day of treatment. In patients of the 2nd group, the total scores on the NSS scale decreased by 22% by the 30th day (p&lt;0.05) and by 35% (p&lt;0.05) by the 60th day of treatment. A pronounced positive effect in terms of vegetative tests was noted on the 60th day of treatment in the 1st and 2nd groups of patients. No adverse events were observed during the treatment period in any of patients of the 1st and the 2nd groups. In the comparison group, there were no significant changes in scores on the NSS scale and indicators of vegetative samples.</p></sec><sec><title>Conclusion</title><p>Conclusion. The effectiveness of the drug ipidacrine (Ipigrix) in patients with pain and vegetative manifestations of DPN was noted.</p></sec></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Поражение периферической нервной системы у больных сахарным диабетом 2-го типа – тяжелое осложнение, ассоциированное со снижением качества жизни, развитием инвалидизации и наступлением летального исхода. Наиболее опасной в отношении прогноза является вегетативная диабетическая полиневропатия (ДПН).</p><p>Цель исследования – изучение эффективности применения препарата ипидакрина (Ипигрикс) у больных с ДПН.</p><sec><title>Пациенты и методы</title><p>Пациенты и методы. Наблюдались 49 пациентов с ДПН, которые были распределены в три группы. Больные 1-й группы (n=16) получали перорально ипидакрин по 20 мг 3 раза в сутки в течение 60 дней; пациенты 2-й группы (n=17) 15 дней получали ипидакрин по 15 мг 1 раз в день внутримышечно, далее – по 20 мг 3 раз в сутки перорально до 2 мес; больные 3-й группы (n=16) получали только базисную терапию. Оценивали клиническое состояние, выраженность болевого синдрома по Шкале неврологических симптомов (Neurological Symptoms Score, NSS), вегетативные пробы, переносимость лечения.</p></sec><sec><title>Результаты и обсуждение</title><p>Результаты и обсуждение. Показана эффективность проводимой терапии в отношении уменьшения выраженности невропатического болевого синдрома, а также нормализации результатов выполнения вегетативных проб. У больных 1-й группы сумма баллов по шкале NSS снизилась на 37% (p&lt;0,05) к 60-му дню лечения. У больных 2-й группы сумма баллов по шкале NSS уменьшилась на 22% к 30-му дню (p&lt;0,05) и на 35% (p&lt;0,05) к 60-му дню лечения. Выраженный положительный эффект по показателям вегетативных проб отмечен на 60-й день лечения в 1-й и 2-й группах больных. Не наблюдалось нежелательных явлений в период лечения ни у одного из пациентов 1-й и 2-й групп. В группе сравнения не наблюдалось существенных изменений баллов по шкале NSS и показателей вегетативных проб.</p></sec><sec><title>Заключение</title><p>Заключение.
