Drug- induced hypersomnia (DIH) is defined as hypersomnolence  caused by the intake of multiple drugs. DIH is one of the most frequently reported effects and/or side effects of drugs. DIH  prevalence varies widely and can be as high as 75% in patients receiving specific medications. DIH risk factors include elderly  and senile age, impaired drug metabolism, serum drug  concentration, method and frequency of drug administration, single and daily doses of drugs, etc., as in many other drug- induced diseases and syndromes. DIH can occur both due to sedative agents administration and withdrawal of  psychostimulants and other activating psychotropic  medications. Most often, the development of DIH is associated with the use of levodopa-carbidopa, antipsychotics,  antidepressants. The pathogenesis of DIH is complex and multifactorial and is associated with the mechanism of action of  individual drugs and the presence of concomitant diseases. The  article discusses the risk assessment of DIH development due to  various medications, diagnosis and management tactics of  patients with DIH.  </p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p> Дневная сонливость может быть проявлением различных  соматических, неврологических и психических заболеваний, а также  развиваться при злоупотреблении и/или отмене различных  лекарственных средств (ЛС). Вызванная приемом ЛС дневная  сонливость расценивается как лекарственно-индуцированная гиперсомния (ЛИГ). ЛИГ относятся к числу наиболее часто регистрируемых эффектов и/или побочных эффектов ЛС. Распространенность ЛИГ варьирует в широких пределах и может достигать 75% на фоне применения отдельных препаратов. Факторы риска ЛИГ, как и при многих других лекарственно-индуцированных заболеваниях и синдромах, включают пожилой и старческий возраст, нарушение метаболизма ЛС, концентрацию ЛС в сыворотке крови, способ и кратность введения ЛС, разовые и суточные дозы ЛС и др. ЛИГ могут возникать как на фоне приема ЛС, вызывающих седацию, так и на фоне отмены психостимуляторов и других активирующих психотропных  ЛС. Наиболее часто развитие ЛИГ ассоциировано с  приемом леводопы-карбидопы, антипсихотиков, антидепрессантов.  Патогенез ЛИГ сложен, связан с многими факторами, механизмом действия отдельных ЛС и наличием сопутствующих заболеваний.
