Developing in old age, NTH is often concurrent with other neurodegenerative or cerebrovascular diseases, posing certain diagnostic difficulties. The paper describes a clinical case of a patient initially diagnosed with NTH, followed by amyloid angiopathy signs detected during magnetic resonance imaging after bypass surgery. It discusses the diagnostic features of NTH and amyloid angiopathy and the possible common mechanisms of these diseases.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>Нормотензивная идиопатическая гидроцефалия (НТГ) – это вентрикуломегалия головного мозга, характеризующаяся широким кругом дискуссионных вопросов, касающихся распространенности заболевания, механизмов его развития и нозологической самостоятельности. Развиваясь в пожилом возрасте, НТГ часто сочетается с другими нейродегенеративными или цереброваскулярными патологиями, что имеет определенные диагностические сложности. Приводится клиническое наблюдение больного с первоначальным диагнозом НТГ и последующим появлением признаков амилоидной ангиопатии по данным магнитно-резонансной томографии после шунтирующей операции.
