Clarifying the molecular mechanisms of trigger point formation and dysregulation of specific skeletal muscle proteins is important to understand the causes of abnormal sarcomere contraction observed in myofascial pain. Wide variability in using the diagnostic criteria in some cases leads to the impossibility of performing a meta-analysis of the data; in this connection, the search for the gold standard for MFPS diagnosis is actively underway. At the moment, a special clinical examination is of paramount diagnostic value. The paper considers various treatment options for myofascial pain and discusses the priority importance of using nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and muscle relaxants, as well as non-drug therapies.</p>
В статье рассматриваются различные варианты лечения миофасциальной боли, обсуждается приоритетное значение применения нестероидных противовоспалительных препаратов и миорелаксантов, а также методов немедикаментозной терапии.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>миофасциальный болевой синдром</kwd><kwd>триггерная точка</kwd><kwd>регионарная боль</kwd><kwd>мышечно-скелетная боль</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>myofasical pain syndrome</kwd><kwd>trigger point</kwd><kwd>regional pain</kwd><kwd>musculoskeletal pain</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Статья спонсируется компанией ООО «Гедеон Рихтер Фарма»</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="en">This article has been supported by Gedeon Richter</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Fleckenstein J, Zaps D, Riger LJ, et al.
