Alzheimer's disease (AD) and vascular CI are the most common forms of dementia in the elderly. In recent decades, there has been increasing evidence that there is a close relationship between these forms due to a substantial overlap of their risk factors, clinical manifestations, neuromorphological changes, as well as genetic and neuroimaging biomarkers. The complex multicomponent relationship of these disorders also makes it difficult to elaborate effective preventive and therapeutic approaches in these patients.</p>
Сложный многокомпонентный характер взаимосвязи этих нарушений обусловливает и трудности разработки эффективных профилактических и терапевтических подходов у таких пациентов.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>хроническое цереброваскулярное заболевание</kwd><kwd>болезнь Альцгеймера</kwd><kwd>сосудистые когнитивные расстройства</kwd><kwd>сосудистая деменция</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>chronic cerebrovascular disease</kwd><kwd>Alzheimer's disease</kwd><kwd>vascular cognitive impairment</kwd><kwd>vascular dementia</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Публикация статьи поддержана ОАО «Гедеон Рихтер Фарма».</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Oeppen J, Vaupel JW.
