Cerebellar ataxia with neuropathy and bilateral vestibular areflexia syndrome (CANVAS) is a slowly progressive ataxic disorder characterized by the triad of cerebellar impairment, bilateral vestibular hypofunction, and sensory polyneuropathy. The paper describes a clinical case of this syndrome in a 40-year-old patient who has been followed up by hematologists for polycythemia vera for 10 years.

Синдром церебеллярной атаксии, невропатии и вестибулярной арефлексии (cerebellar ataxia with neuropathy and bilateral vestibular areflexia syndrome, CANVAS) – медленно прогрессирующее атактическое расстройство, характеризующееся триадой признаков: поражением мозжечка, двусторонним снижением вестибулярных функций и сенсорной полиневропатией. Представлено клиническое наблюдение этого синдрома у пациента 40 лет, который в течение 10 лет наблюдался у гематологов по поводу истинной полицитемии.
