Management of patients with acute back pain is one of the urgent problems in modern medicine.

Objective

Objective: to assess the management of patients with acute and subacute back pain in 2007–2008 and 2017–2018.

Patients and methods

Patients and methods. The authors present their own experience in treating 140 patients (87 women and 53 men) (mean age, 50.7±17.6 years) at present and 70 patients (40 women and 30 men) (mean age, 46.5±15.0 years) 10 years ago.

Results and discussion

Results and discussion. The experience shows the high efficiency of managing patients with acute back pain during information sharing (an educational conversation), a personalized approach (treatment of concomitant diseases and conditions) and, use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. However, these methods are not widely used in general clinical practice now, as 10 years ago.

Conclusion

Conclusion. To improve the quality of medical care, the additional education and training of physicians are required for the management of patients with back pain.

Цель исследования – оценка ведения пациентов с острой и подострой болью в спине в 2007–2008 и 2017–2018 гг.

Пациенты и методы. Представлен собственный опыт лечения 140 пациентов (средний возраст 50,7±17,6 года, 87 женщин и 53 мужчины) в настоящее время и 70 пациентов (средний возраст 46,5±15,0 лет, 40 женщин и 30 мужчин) 10 лет назад.

Результаты и обсуждение

Результаты и обсуждение. Наш опыт показывает высокую эффективность ведения пациентов с острой болью в спине на фоне информирования (образовательной беседы), персонализированного подхода (лечение сочетанных заболеваний и состояний) и применения нестероидных противовоспалительных препаратов. Однако эти методы в настоящее время, как и 10 лет назад, не получили широкого распространения в общей клинической практике.

Заключение

Заключение. Для улучшения качества оказания медицинской помощи необходимы дополнительное образование и повышение квалификации врачей в области ведения пациентов с болью в спине.
